A Morning at McDonald’s

October 27, 2007

Good morning, welcome to McDonald’s!

Yeah, good morning yourself. That’s the last thing I needed – a good morning greeting. The morning doesn’t seem so good at all. There’s nothing to eat at home, so I headed to this nearest McDonald’s branch to have a quick breakfast. Oh yes, I wasn’t able to finish my Math homework, too.

Hot fudge sundae and regular fries.

Would you like to add anything? Apple pie…?

No, I’ll just take the sundae and the fries, okay? I sounded more irritated than intended. Anyway, the customer is always right. I gave my payment, took my food, and started to look for a convenient place to stay.

Hah, finally, some peace and quiet, I said to myself as I sat down to eat. I saw that someone left the morning paper on the table. I grabbed the newspaper.

As I flipped through the pages, I was losing focus. I pretended to browse the newspaper, even though the words were slipping away – I was thinking of something else. For some reason, I was jolted back to reality by this news.

Executive clemency, huh? Hmm… geez. I folded the paper back. There’s no more good news in the world. Great, that reminds me of my Math homework. Just… great.

I immediately searched in my bag for my math book,a pad of paper, and my trusty ballpen. Hmm, where’s my scratch papers? After three minutes of continuous search inside my heavy-duty backpack, there was no sign of the papers still.

Then I suddenly saw your picture. Your picture scattered inside my bag? How did that happen?

Thoughts of you filled my mind.

Fragmented, scattered thoughts of yesterday…

If only there was a better way to say “I’m sorry”…

A sundae. Yes. It’s your favorite, right? I haven’t eaten anything yet, so I decided to just take my food to you as a sort of peace offering.

I hurried to the counter to ask for a cover for the sundae – your sundae – and a plastic bag for the food. School starts in two hours, I thought. It’s your free time, so I could probably get some of your time to talk to you.

Thank you, come again!

Oww, will you still be able to forgive me…?

My mornings at McDonald’s are not so enjoyable when you’re not with me.

Ano yung story behind writing this post? Medyo…

    yun. :)

  2. aby Says:

    Fiction. ;)

    *wink wink*

Not convinced?

But if you’re going to ask me if I’m okay,

    I’m feeling

    HAPPY
    EXUBERANT
    JOYFUL

and all other words synonymous to the aforementioned. :D

Hmm. Okay. I really was thinking of something fishy going on. RELIEVED AT LAST. :p
