So much for disappointments.

September 27, 2006

No, thank you. The book is better than the movie – AGAIN.

If you are to decide whether to read the book first or watch its movie, I suggest that you do the first – much, much more realistic.

Especially if you are to embark on an eighty-day journey around the world.

Jules Verne’s story is much more exciting than Frank Coraci’s film. The latter shouldn’t have said that it was based from Verne’s creation. I was so surprised to see Phileas Fogg in the form of a very eccentric inventor when in the story, he is only an eccentric tacit gentleman! And a member of the Academy of Science! That is so far from being a member of the Reform Club!

And Passepartout was some Chinese man – he was supposed to be a Frenchman. And in the part of Jackie Chan!

Nah. It’s too much. With the hot-air balloon, meeting the Wright Brothers, and making a flying machine in the ocean. Wow. Awesome. Sooo… realistic.

But I’m not giving up my search on the REAL 80 DAYS film. They said there’s such thing as that. Let’s see. This had really disappointed me. I expected so much and it gave me so little.

ENK. ENK. It’s so hard if you expect too much. It’s so disappointing that you are turned off when things just don’t go right.

THIS IS THE LIFE. No classes tomorrow because of the continuous downpour of rain. Yesh. Gotta watch Cheaper by the dozen 2 tomorrow. I’m loving it.

GOOD NEWS. Position paper is due on Tuesday. I love you Miss. ^_^

Till here. Ta-ta~!

WORDS OF THE DAY:

WOTD – shortcut for Word of the Day
